All I Want To Listen To is Gary Clark, Jr.

He has taken over my life. I have no idea when his next album is due out, but it will likely be comparable to the return of the messiah. This dude has been hailed as a savior of blues, among the ranks of such greats as Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. His idiosyncratic fusion of Texas blues with R & B, and hard rock likely represents the future of blues. He has played with the likes of Sheryl Crow, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughan, and Eric Clapton among others. He has been a hit in Texas for awhile — there’s even a Gary Clark, Jr. day in Austin and his first release was only six years ago — and he’s now ripe to emerge on the national scene. He recently released a new EP, and has a full length album due out some time in 2011. I have never been more serious about an artist just beginning to emerge then I am right now. I beg all of you to support this artist, please, we need him in the mainstream. We need him on the radio, we need him to break the mold, we need an artist like Gary Clark, Jr. to save music.
